Homemade Air-Fryer Tortilla Chips (Printable Version)

Golden, crispy tortilla chips made quickly with simple seasoning and air frying.

# Ingredient List:

→ Tortillas

01 - 6 small corn tortillas

→ Oil & Seasonings

02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
03 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
04 - 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
05 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)

# Directions:

01 - Set the air fryer to 350°F and preheat for 2 minutes.
02 - Stack tortillas and slice each into 6 equal wedges to form chip-sized triangles.
03 - Place tortilla wedges in a large bowl, drizzle with oil, then sprinkle with sea salt, smoked paprika, and cumin. Toss well to evenly coat.
04 - Place chips in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. If needed, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
05 - Cook chips for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until crisp and lightly golden.
06 - Transfer chips to a wire rack or paper towel to cool; they will continue to crisp as they cool.
07 - Enjoy chips with salsa, guacamole, or your preferred dip.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The air fryer gives you that satisfying crunch without a pot of hot oil or the guilt of deep fried anything
  • Once you master the timing, you will never go back to store bought chips again
02 -
  • Overcrowding the basket is the fastest way to end up with soggy uneven chips, so work in batches
  • Chips might seem slightly soft when they first come out but they crisp up beautifully as they cool
03 -
  • A pizza cutter makes quick work of cutting uniform wedges
  • Arrange chips in a single slightly overlapping layer rather than perfectly scattered for more even cooking
